Acupuncture is a branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine that was developed over 2000 years ago. It is an effective form of health care that has evolved into a complete medical system. It is a safe, natural way to effectively treat a wide range of medical conditions.
Acupuncture is extremely safe. It is an all-natural, drug-free therapy that enhances the bodies ability to heal itself. We use a clean needle technique which reduces the risk of infection and dispose of used needles after a treatment.

Initial in-person visit are up to 90 minutes or less , while in-person follow-ups are up to 60 minutes or less .
We do offer free 15 minutes consultation in person , when it is necessary
This is probably the most common question. No, acupuncture is not painful. The acupuncture treatments we offer at WellPoint are not meant to illicit a strong, physical reaction, as that is not necessary for an effective treatment. The needles used are the highest-grade quality available and are incredibly thin, the diameter of a hair, to ensure comfort.
It all depends on the condition, this recommendation is provided by your practitioner during your initial visit after your complete consultation. In general, the recommendations are:
For chronic conditions: twice weekly for 3 weeks, then at least weekly for 4-8 weeks.
For acute conditions: 2-3 times weekly until condition is resolved.
For patients in maintenance phase, acupuncture sessions for overall immune support, stress relief and well being are recommended at weekly to bi-monthly.
After the condition has been resolved, we recommend monthly visits as maintenance to ensure the condition does not reoccur and to maintain health.
Getting The Most Out Of Treatment (For the best treatment results, here are a few things in mind:)
Cupping is a therapy designed to stimulate the flow of Qi and Blood within the superficial muscle layers making it ideal for muscular injuries.
Tui Na is a form of massage geared to move stagnated Qi and Blood that causes pain.
Gua Sha is a scraping technique that is used to release muscle tension and constriction. Gua Sha often feels like a deep tissue massage.
E-steam electro-acupuncture has been proven to promote the flow of Qi and blood, relieve pain, and warm the muscles, removing blood stasis (a blockage, or poor circulation).
When it comes to acupuncture, results depend on several factors. Acute issues (those that are less than 6 weeks in nature) typically respond more quickly, while chronic issues take a course or series of course of treatments. A patient’s age and overall health, including diet and lifestyle, play a major role in recovery, and so those who are younger with healthier constitutions respond more effectively and more quickly. Typically, the more medications a patient takes, the longer the recovery.
Each course of treatment is 12 acupuncture sessions. At that time, a re-evaluation will be conducted to determine rate of improvement and whether another course of treatment is advised.
For patients seeking therapy for hormonal imbalance and fertility, a minimum of 4 months is recommended for both partners (male and female), as it takes 12 to 16 weeks to regulate the cycle, optimize egg quality and optimize sperm quality and quantity. For all couples trying to conceive, it is highly recommended that both partners receive weekly acupuncture treatment.
For patients seeking therapy for chronic illness, autoimmune, chronic allergies and food sensitivities, a minimum of 20 sessions (allergy elimination) treatments is advised.
Cosmetic Acupuncture is one of the world’s oldest beauty treatments, dating back to the Song Dynasty (960-1279 A.D.).
Cosmetic Acupuncture is a comprehensive, effective and natural system to re-sculpt the face, neck and jaw areas. It is often referred to as Acupuncture Facelift or Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture (FRA), but it is much more than a cosmetic procedure. It is a rejuvenation and revitalization process designed to help the whole body look and feel younger. It is a non-surgical method for reducing the signs of aging that can effectively decrease the appearance of wrinkles. It promotes a glowing complexion, while supporting an overall rejuvenation that is not confined to your face.
What are the effects?
The effects are far more profound and inclusive than simply improving one’s appearance. The radiance of natural beauty comes from a healthy body and mind. Holistic beauty is achieved by working on the inside to most effectively change the outside appearance, allowing innate beauty to emerge.

What is the course of treatment?
This depends on the style of Cosmetic Acupuncture used. Generally, a treatment course is 10 – 12 treatments, administered 2 times per week*. The effects become most noticeable and lasting on or about the 6th or 7th sessions. Each person responds differently, depending on his or her condition and lifestyle prior to treatment. Following the initial course of treatments, monthly or quarterly maintenance sessions can prolong the result for 5 to 10 years. These treatments may be combined with facial massage, acupressure, cupping , Gua Sha, Celluma light therapy.
The decision to begin treatment may be professionally or personally inspired or a combination of both. Different methods are emphasized and specific points stimulated according to how an individual is aging. Acupuncture points on the face, ears, neck, hands, trunk and legs are carefully chosen to manipulate the movement of energy (Qi) in the body according to individual needs. These points specifically effect the face and simultaneously treat the underlying factors that contribute to the aging process. The whole person is treated and evaluated on the body-mind continuum.
*Certain individuals may need 2 courses of treatments.
